Twenty Six

Graphite noun.
A soft, steel-gray to black, hexagonally crystallized allotrope of carbon with a metallic luster and a greasy feel, used in lead pencils, lubricants, paints, and coatings, that is fabricated into a variety of forms such as molds, bricks, electrodes, crucibles, and rocket nozzles. Also called black lead, plumbago.

Rather than going with an obvious photo of a pencil I actually went out and purchased a pencil sharpener (because I didn't have one) to get a different perspective.  Its about as close to an "action" shot as you can get for 'graphite'.

Tomorrow's randomly generated word is: cuddly

  1. That's true! Graphite isn't too much of an action-type word, is it? Good idea!

  2. Wow, the color of your pencil sharpener next to the sliver of yellow on those pencil shavings put the punch into the graphite theme. Your are so clever!

  4. Great macro lens work! I stuck with the graphite in the pencil theme and then extended it.

A suggestion for those of us who don't have your expertise and need a little more time. Could you post a week's worth of words so that we can plan our days and be better prepared?
